Reading tracker with goals, streaks and stats

Spellbound Shelf is a free reading tracker. Log your pages or percentage in a tap, keep a daily reading streak, set a yearly reading goal and see your reading by month. At the end of the year, your reading wrap turns it all into slides worth sharing.

Profile stats: the 2026 reading goal and books read each month

How do I log my reading progress?

Open the book you are reading and log the page you are on, or switch to a percentage if that suits the book better. Each update counts toward your streak and your stats. On Android, a home-screen widget keeps your current read in view.

Can I set a reading goal?

Yes. Set how many books you want to read this year and follow your progress month by month. Your profile shows books read each month next to your goal.

How do ratings and reading statuses work?

Every book has a status: reading now, want to read, read, paused or did not finish. When you finish a book, rate it with stars, a spice level and the moods it left you in.

What is the reading wrap?

At the end of the year, Spellbound Shelf turns your reading into a set of slides: your top genres, your longest streak, your month-by-month reading and the book that wrecked you.

Questions

Is it a good Goodreads alternative?

If you want to track what you read, own and want, with goals, streaks, editions and book clubs, Spellbound Shelf covers it for free with no ads. It focuses on your own library and reading rather than public reviews.

Can I track reading on my home screen?

Yes, on Android. Home-screen widgets show your current read and streak.
