Agreement
By creating an account or using Spellbound Shelf, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
The service
Spellbound Shelf is a free web app for tracking books, reading progress, and optional social features. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
The service is provided “as is.” We strive for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, outages, or third-party issues may occur.
Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
You must be at least 13 years old to use Spellbound Shelf.
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
Your content
You keep ownership of content you post (reviews, posts, comments, images). By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute that content within the service so other members can see it according to your visibility settings.
You are responsible for what you post. Do not upload content you do not have the right to share.
Community rules
Be kind. Spellbound Shelf is a cozy reading community — not a battleground.
Do not post illegal content, harassment, hate speech, spam, malware links, or content that sexualizes minors.
Do not attempt to scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service; do not access other users’ accounts.
We may remove content, suspend clubs, or terminate accounts that violate these rules or harm the community. You can report posts and block readers in the app.
Moderation
We review reports of harmful content and may act at our discretion. Club moderators may lock threads or remove discussions within their clubs. We are not obligated to monitor all content but may do so to keep the shelf safe.
Intellectual property
Spellbound Shelf’s name, branding, and software are ours. Book covers and metadata may belong to publishers or providers; we display them for cataloging purposes.
Do not use our trademarks or imply endorsement without permission.
Termination
You may stop using the service anytime. We may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the service. Where practical, we will give notice.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spellbound Shelf and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the past twelve months — which, today, is zero, because the app is free.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post changes on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be noted in the app. Continued use means acceptance.
